I share in the shock and horror felt by pilgrims all over the world upon learning about the terrible train tragedy in Santiago de Compostela. Prior to the crash the town was in the throes of week-long celebrations for the feast of St James on 25 July. It is sure to be a much subdued event this year and I hear much of the program has been cancelled.

Love, thoughts and prayers to those involved in the accident and their relatives, the rescuers, the people of Santiago and to the pilgrims enroute.
